The International Festival of Glass and Bodenham Arboretum have teamed up to put on this unique exhibition of floating glass sculpture.  Exhibits include glittering horses, mirrored spheres, giant tripods and a family of Pond Skaters. Using blown, dichroic, slumped and coloured glass, the exhibition highlights the diverse ways in which glass can be used outdoors to enhance the natural landscape and take craft beyond the gallery walls.
A platform for showing some of the diverse ways in which artists are working with this magical material, Glass Afloat is a celebration of the UK’s experimental and innovative glass scene.
Exhibiting artists: Keith Brocklehurst, Matthew Durran, Simon Eccles, Stephen Foster, Charlotte Hughes-Martin, Sharon McJannet, Laura McKinley, Jacque Pavlosky, Bob Thacker, Gemma Louise Truman, Chris Wood, Marie Worre Hastrop Holm, and students of Glasshouse College.
