There are some activities that will be of particular interest to the glass artist, both hobbyist and professional, offering a chance to network with your peers, update your technical skills or learn about new ways of raising money to make your work.

The International Festival of Glass is an associated partner of the European Glass Experience (EGE) a travelling g exhibition which is dedicated to contemporary glass practice and opening a highly specialised tradition to a wider and youthful audience, by revealing the actual process between concept, design, and manufacture. The European Glass Experience began at The Finnish Glass Museum in Riihimaki (Finland), then GlassMuseum in La Granja (Spain) in Summer 2014 and the Murano Glass Museum (Venice, Italy), in Spring 2015. From the International Festival of Glass in May, the exhibition moves to Sweden. The brochure gives more information about the selected artists and venues.
