Melanie is a talented beadmaker with a design-led approach and an eye for colour. She is also a patient and experienced teacher having taught beadmaking at the Glasshouse College for the past three years as well as the International Glass Centre, Dudley College, where she originally learnt her craft.
An introduction to the fascinating and addictive world of glass beadmaking for the absolute beginner, though anyone with a little experience would also benefit. There will be lots of easy to follow demonstrations of effective techniques and plenty of time to practice on your own under Melanie’s expert guidance. Melanie will also cover health and safety considerations and can provide information about sourcing equipment and materials, should participants wish to set up their own workshop at home.
