Open studios - Red House Glass Cone
Studios will be open 10am - 4pm for all four days of the Festival (Friday 24 August to Monday 27 August). Admission is free. Some of the artists will be holding workshops during the festival, so if their door is closed, make sure you come back.
Studio 1 Sean Counley
Fantasy artist, framer, lecturer and representative of local artists
Visitors over the festival will be able to see the many artistic pursuits of Sean from own work as an artist which is heavily influenced in the a realms of fantasy art based around faeries, to his representation of eight local artists , prints framed by Sean and a framing service.
Studio 2 Saz’s Ceramics
Work by Ceramist Sarah Cannings will be on show and for sale , alongside an opportunity to have a go and paint your own pottery.
Studio 3 Rebecca Handy, Bespoke Handmade Jewellery and Textiles.
Open studio will showcase a wide selection if mixed media jewellery including glass from around the world ,semi- precious gemstones and Rebecca’s signature polymer clay work. The work will include a new collection of designer jewellery ‘ Antiqued and inspired by vintage’.
Studio 6 Charlotte Hughes Martin
Work by resident glass artist will be on show on site and Charlotte can be seen blowing glass as part of the Bandits of Glass collective in the Cone’s hot glass studio.
Studio 7 Jane Ellis Fused Glass artist and Sarah Jones lampwork bead artist
Sarah will be showcasing her new range “from earth to the edge of the universe” and Jane will be showing her range of exquisite kiln formed pictures. Demonstrations of lamp working by Sarah Jones.
Studio C SMD Crafts and Clocks
Stuart Calidicott is a manufacturer of hardwood clocks , barometers ranging from traditional styles to one off designs. Restoration and repair of clocks, barometers and clocks is also a service provided. A bespoke range of items is being produced as a festival range that will fuse glass and wood together in unusual and innovative ways.
