Great opportunities to clearly understand the do’s and don’ts of website design and photography. Essential for those baffled by the mysteries of digital arts, each session will be followed by question and answer sessions.

Glass photography for dummies
10am – 1pm
Simon Bruntnell will be demonstrating the key elements of taking successful photographs of glass in his own studio, including basic lighting techniques, choice of camera, backgrounds, and Photoshop techniques for cleaning and enhancing your pictures. Finally he will look at the different file formats needed for website use and print based industries.

Website design for dummies
2pm – 5pm
Drawing on 10 years of experience graphic designer Tony Astley takes a look at what makes a good website. Using plain English you’ll learn how to write good content, and see how both human visitors and search engines interact with your website. Spoken very much from the point of a designer, with jargon kept to an absolute minimum.
