Fun Auction

27th August 2012 - A Festival Favourite!

Will Farmer, Director of Fieldings Auctioneers, and a regular on BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, will once again be taking charge of this event, raising vital Festival funds and bringing lashings of humour and excitement as the four day public Glass Festival comes to a close. Each Festival, the Fun Auction draws in the crowds and what started as a light hearted end to the Glass Festival has grown into an exciting event where artists can sell work and bidders can bag themselves a real bargain!

The Fun Auction welcomes contributions from everyone. Primarily smaller individual or humorous work sells, however donations of art books, glass supplies, good quality experimental work and relevant kitsch are also welcome. Please make items that are easily transportable. Contributing artists have the option of retaining either 25% or 50% of the winning bid.

For the first time in 2012, a preview of some of the items will be showcased on the new Festival website, www.ifg.org.uk, so be sure to get your entry forms in early for a chance to have your work featured.  Credit will be given to each contributor featured.

Please register your piece(s) by completing and returning the entry form via email to info@ifg.org.uk. If you would like to be considered for inclusion in the Fun Auction preview, please supply an image with your form. All items should then be labelled with your name and arrive at the Festival Office, International Festival of Glass, Ruskin Glass Centre, Wollaston Road, Amblecote, Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY8 4HF, by 4pm Saturday 25th August in order to be catalogued by Fieldings Auctioneers.

If you don’t have work ready to register in advance, simply bring your form with the work by 4pm
Saturday 25th August.

Full payment for any bought pieces will be taken at the end of the auction on 27th August. Artists will receive their percentage as soon as payment is cleared.
