Allister is a skilled glassblower and hot caster, known for strong design sense, with work extensively exhibited throughout the UK and the USA. Currently running his own studio at Broadfield House Glass Museum, Allister is a patient and responsive teacher, ideally suited for the novice glassmaker.

Broadfield House Glass Museum is the perfect resource for inspiration and participants will be invited to take influences from the exhibitions. Students will gain an insight into and practise the art of glassblowing. With numbers limited allowing guidance throughout, this class provides the opportunity for the inexperienced to have a go at all stages of the creation of a blown vessel. It also gives the more experienced a chance to fine tune existing skills. As skills progress, the use of colour will be encouraged in a variety of forms to develop and create your own unique piece.
