Alison is one of the world's leading engravers, with work in public, royal and private collections throughout Europe, America and the Far East, including the Scottish Parliament and the V&A. The course will cover both basic and more advanced wheel engraving techniques, with particular emphasis on modeling in intaglio engraving and preparatory drawing. You will also explore transparency and opacity in flashed glass and cameo layers, making small pieces which use sandblast, diamond wheel and copper wheel engraving.
