How Do You See The Festival?
The festival is all about showing you why the world of glassmaking is so fascinating and such a visually stimulating subject. This year we’re inviting YOU to show us how you experience the Festival through your own eyes, or more accurately, through the lens of your camera.
We’d like to receive your digital images (no prints please) that capture the many flavours of the festival so bring your cameras along with you - we know that many of you already do - but when you get home and look through them why not enter one or two (or even three) into our competition?
We’ll be awarding prizes for the best image in adult and under 16 categories - amateur photographers only please. There is a limit of three images per entrant and a selection of images will be put up on our website. Entries will be accepted until Saturday 4th September and winners will be invited to and announced at the closing of the Biennale exhibition on 11th September. Entry forms will be available online and all entries must be made via the form on the festival website or by email. Please read the details of entry conditions below.
To get you in the mood, here (and above) are a few images from previous festivals.
Please send your entry by email to photocomp@ifg.org.uk together with the following information: 1. Your name and address, 2. a telephone contact number, 3. the title of your photograph (and a suitable caption if you wish) and 4. the date and venue of your shot.
To be eligible please also state in your email that the image can be used by the organisers in any future marketing activity. Please send only ONE email per entry. You may enter up to three images if you wish.
Entries must be sent to THIS EMAIL ADDRESS to be eligible: photocomp@ifg.org.uk
Each image must be supplied as a jpeg file at 300dpi and be no smaller than 200mm x 150mm and no larger than 300mm x 210mm in size or 2mb file size so make sure your camera settings are adjusted accordingly. Other than being colour corrected the image(s) must not be manipulated or enhanced using any digital photographic software.
Entries must arrive by 4th September to allow time for judging. By entering the competition you are deemed to also be giving permission for us to use the image(s) in any future promotional and marketing material and assumes you have the persmission of anyone festured in the photograph for their image to be used. No liability will be accepted by the organisers for any offence due to use of the image(s).
